As the end of the school year is approaching, the 2016 senior class has many events coming up. Senior year can be a hectic year, but the spring tends to be the most stressful time for many students.

In the month of April, senior class advisors Doc Lorson and Matthew Carpenter will be collecting $25.00 for the Senior Trip to Cedar Point which will be on Thursday, May 19.

May will be a very busy month for the senior class. On Saturday, May 7 Prom will be held at the Aladdin Shrine Center in Grove City, also known as Grand Oaks Event and Business Center. Prom will be held from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Then on Thursday, May 12 there will be a Senior Class meeting where caps and gowns will be distributed. Following the class meeting, all seniors will enjoy the final class cookout for the year. The cookout will be free for all seniors. In the following week seniors will have senior exams on Tuesday, May 17 and Wednesday, May 18. Seniors have the option of being exempt from the exams if they have an 85% YTD or are taking an AP exam. AP exams will be held from Monday, May 2 to Friday, May 13.

Class Awards Day will be at 8:30 am on Friday, May 13. Then on Tuesday, May 24 there will be a special Awards Night for the senior class at 7:00 pm in the auditeria. Business Dress will be required for the Senior Class Awards Night.

On Thursday, May 26 there will be a mandatory graduation practice at 9:00 am. A breakfast will be held before the practice from 8:30 am to 8:50 am. Graduation practice will last about two hours. If a student cannot make it to practice then that student could lose the privilege of participating in graduation. Graduation will be held on Sunday, May 29 at 2:00 pm in the Jonathan Alder High School Main Gym.
