Students at Jonathan Alder High School have been working hard all year in their classes.  To appreciate the dedication given by the art students, the annual Art Show was held in the main gym of Jonathan Alder High School from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, May 15th.

Displayed at the Art Show were projects created by students from ninth to twelfth grade.  All different forms of art were there for people to observe.  When talking with the art teacher, Mrs. Moore, she thought the event went really well this year and the school had more visitors than previous years.  Every year, the top three projects for a specific form receive ribbons. These awards were handed out by this year’s judges computer applications teacher Mrs. Kerzee and Tolles extension teacher Mrs. Shrewe.

When asked her favorite part about the Art Show, Moore stated, “Seeing kids come in that didn’t want to come in at all and then actually getting excited to see their work displayed is always my favorite thing to see.”  The Art Show is a great place to see friend’s or family’s hard work paying off and appreciate the effort students at Jonathan Alder High School have put into this past year.
