Definition of compatible

Tori Walker, Billing Manager

Dear Editor,

The dictionary’s definition of compatibility is: “Capable of existing or living together in harmony.” However, being compatible with someone means so much more than its definition. Compatibility is not just for the love birds,; it can be used to describe friends, family members, coworkers or anyone I encounter on the daily.

Compatibility is a big part of being in a relationship with someone. As I said earlier, it means so much more than just living together in harmony. Even if I am complete opposites with someone, we could still be compatible. Being compatible means we enjoy doing things together as a couple. It means I want to and I am willing to take that extra step to make sure my significant other is happy and in harmony with me. If I am truly compatible with someone, I would want to spend every minute with them. Every minute is filled with happiness, I would enjoy all the time spent together, and we both would feel comfortable with each other. When I can be myself around someone and they accept me for that, then we are compatible.

Everyone is looking for their knight in shining armor to sweep them off their feet. Prince Charming may not always be someone you would expect. Odds are, Fiona would not have picked Shreck out of the bunch. In the end, they were more alike than anyone thought, and they lived their fairytale ending, happily ever after.

If I am having fun with my significant other and we enjoy doing activities together, then I have found myself a keeper. I believe that there is someone out there for each and every person on this world. When I find that person, I’ll never let them go.

Sincerely,
Tori Walker
