The Alder girls soccer team has had a very successful start to their season with a record of 4-1-1. As the girls continue their season, they all have a similar goal. Captain and senior Lily Hess said, “Everyone on the team wants to make it to where we were last year. Getting to regional semi-finals was the farthest the girls team has ever gotten, and it would be awesome to make it past that point in the tournament this season.”

The other captains Riley Gruenbaum, Isabel Rodela, and Sophie Thomas all agreed with the goal. Thomas said, “The only loss that we have had so far is against DeSales, and it was a good battle. We just didn’t prepare the way that we should have. We will start by working to win the MOAC, then we will work on districts and regionals.”

Freshman forward Lindsey Miller is the dedicated player of the week with the only goal scored against DeSales on September 6.

The girls continue their season with a home game on September 10 against Tri-Valley.
