The Jonathan Alder girls’ golf team has started out their season with a record of four wins and one loss. The captains for the team are senior Sarah Gentil and senior Emily York. The head coach for the girls’ golf team is Ray Hustek.

The upperclassmen on the team includes Sarah Gentil, Emily York, Maddie McMillen and Jordan Ballard. The underclassmen consists of Abby Doza, Natalie Eudaily, Maddy Baker, Sarah Harp, and Lydia Lyons. “I was encouraged to have noticed all the underclassmen on the golf team this year. This is promising because of all the experience these girls will get at a young age. The girls’ golf team, in my opinion, has a bright future as well as a bright present,” explained Gentil.

So far the girls have only lost one match, against North Union. Gentil had this to say about the loss, “I was really disappointed in the loss specifically because I wasn’t able to be at that match and help my team get the victory.” The team’s next match is Tuesday, September 13 at Country Quad against London, Madison Plains and Fairbanks.
