The Jonathan Alder girls bowling team kicked their 2016 season off on December 3 at Palace Lanes in Columbus. The tournament held 5 teams from the MOAC conference: Fairbanks; North Union; River Valley; Galion; and Alder.

This year’s 2016 varsity team consists of seniors: Mackenzie Heimlich and Trisha Fox, and juniors: Rachel Kaeser; Rena Kirts; and Allie Nichols. The varsity team started off strong and won all 4 matches. According to senior Mackenzie Heimlich, “I think we will be good; we lost two seniors last year, so we still have some work to do in practice.” The coach of the bowling team is Rusty Walter. The varsity team just recently won their match against Marion Harding on December 8. They also came out on top in the tournament this past Saturday, December 10.

The JV bowling team consists of freshmen Jenna Foust and Sierra Clark, juniors Tabitha Bartoe and Regina Campbell, and senior Janelle McNeill. The bowling team’s next match is Monday night, December 12 against Buckeye Valley.
