Seniors prepare for upcoming events

Megan Gordin, Editor-in-Chief

On Tuesday, September 12, the senior class had a meeting in which senior class advisers Dr. Mark Lorson and Mr. Matthew Carpenter shared important dates for all the seniors to know.

The next senior class meeting is on October 10 at 8:00 AM, where seniors will discuss ordering their caps and gowns with Mr. McKay from Balfour. Also, the seniors will vote on their class gift, colors and motto.

The first senior class t-shirt costs $15 and will be available to order through September 21. To order, seniors can give their money and shirt size to a senior class officer. This year’s senior class officers are Ivan Wehner, Olivia Moore, Julia Babyak and Peyton Mast, and the Tolles liaison is Maddie McMillen.

On October 11, seniors who wish to participate in the Senior Service Project will travel to Sawmill Lanes for the Bowl-a-Thon. This project benefits the Plain City Community Holiday Basket Drive. Each student who wants to bowl will need to obtain a minimum of $20 in pledges. This money will go toward food baskets and gift certificates for Alder families in need. Students going on the trip will leave around 9:00 AM, and they will return around 12:15 PM.

Finally, the first senior cookout will take place on October 12. Seniors who want to be included must pay $3 between October 3 and October 10 to either Mrs. Danner or a senior class officer. The cookout will take place in the student’s designated lunch period.

The Pioneer Press hopes all seniors enjoy their senior year and have fun!
