Alder swims into new season

This Sunday, Jonathan Alder High School swim tryouts were held at the Hilliard YMCA, led by coach/mom Tracy Herring. This year, the team has eight swimmers in total: seniors Maryn Herring and Lisa Skogsøy; junior Emily Matessa; sophomores Madi Baker, Stasha Dutt, Katie Vaughn, and Elise Dygert; and freshman Alec Paige.

The swimmers had to swim a mile, 64 laps in the pool without stopping, and swim a 100 medley (all four swimming strokes). All the swimmers followed through, and now the team can look forward to a great swim season. The first meet is December 16 at the Ohio State University.
