Boys Basketball Downs Panthers

The Jonathan Alder Boys basketball team had their first game against Fairbanks last Friday night. The first half started out slow with the Pioneers down at halftime 18 to 15.

In the second half, the team began executing the 2-3 zone and ended up scoring 23 points in the fourth quarter, while shutting down the Panther offense. The Pioneers won 51-33, holding Fairbanks to just 15 points in the second half.

Jaron Wheelbarger had this to say about the upcoming season, “I’m looking forward to winning and playing with my friends and teammates and making my senior season the best it can be.”

The Pioneers next game is Tuesday, December 5th.
