Student council to raise funds for Make-A-Wish

From Monday, February 12 to Friday, February 16, Student Council will host Wish Week to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

On Tuesday, a hot chocolate bar will be available to all students at lunch. Students will be able to purchase items such as marshmallows and peppermint sticks to spice up their hot chocolate for just one dollar.

One gift card will be raffled off during each lunch period on Wednesday, and the gift cards include Target, Canes and Chipotle.

Also, on Thursday, a coin drive will be held during second period classes.

To conclude the week, Student Council will host a free throw competition at Friday’s boy’s basketball game, with all of the proceeds going to Make-A-Wish.

On top of efforts to raise money, there will also be a Wish spirit week. Monday will be “Groutfit” day, where students and staff should wear all gray. Tuesday is Tacky Tourist day. Wednesday will be a blackout, and Thursday will be TBT day, where students can dress as if they were from different decades. Finally, the week will end with Flannel Friday.
