As the 2019 senior class president, Sandy Moser has had a lot of work on her shoulders this year. “As class president, my responsibilities include helping the rest of the officers narrow decisions for class mottos and flowers, organize and carry out events like cookouts, and help our fellow seniors remain aware of events and deadlines for senior activities and purchases,” Moser said.

Moser has been class president since her sophomore year. “She is, and always has been, a great leader for our class.” Treasurer Morgan Hess said about Moser.

The responsibilities of this leadership position change throughout the years. “This year has been different logistically because we, as officers, have greater freedom in the decisions we make,” she said.

On top of being class president, Moser is also the captain of the quick recall team, lead mathemagician of math club, and the president of Alder’s chapter of NHS. She also plays basketball in the winter and participated in track and field in the spring.

With all of her extracurriculars, Sandy is bound to experience some stress. “Sometimes I get stressed out during fundraisers if not as many people are participating as expected,” she explains. “Being class president has taught me how important cooperation and delegation are.”
