Angela Brandel and Caitlin Craig, both seniors at Jonathan Alder High School, have finally graduated into the big leagues. This fall, Brandel, who plays second base, will be travelling from Ohio to Bethany College in West Virginia to pursue higher education and play softball. Craig, the catcher of the softball team, is attending Findlay University in Findlay Ohio.

“I wanted to get out of the norm…” States Angela while talking about how she started and why she joined softball.

She continues to say that her dad played softball and she watched him while she grew up.

“I watched him while I grew up…then I tried it and I actually hated it…but as I played I grew to enjoy it.”

The team won the Kenton Trails CBC Conference and currently has a 23-1 record.

Their next game is the District Finals at Pickerington Central at 1 P.M. on Saturday, May 18th.
