Jonathan Alder hosted the undefeated North Union September 17. Being the second home game of the season the hype and energy was up and never came down the entire game.

The Black Hole theme was Welcome to the Galaxy, and students were seen wearing glitter, holographic clothes along with funky accessories. They had cheers and chants going and even had signs and a megaphone.

The cheerleaders lead the typical Alder Battle Cry cheer in the student section. They were seen wearing their new uniforms and dancing to the pep tunes the band played.

Home games are a little bit different for the marching band because of their pregame show, where the Star Spangled Banner was conducted by senior student director Trevor Cox and The Alma Mater was conducted by senior student director Kyle Russell. The band ended the show with their infamous script JAHS. For halftime they performed “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic, “Believer” by Imagine Dragons and closed with “Toxic” by Britney Spears.

At the end of the game, The Pioneers came out with a 45-13 win against North Union. Their next game will be away against their rivals the London Red Raiders.
