“The Pioneer Press” is a student-produced, school-sponsored news site. Materials and opinions in the The Pioneers Press may not represent the opinions of the Jonathan Alder School District, its faculty, administrators, Board of Education, or affiliates.

“The Pioneer Press” supports and encourages the students’ right to freedom of speech, but is subject to all laws and court decisions made pertaining to high school publications, which include but are not limited to: Tinker v. Des Miones (1969), Bethel v. Fraser (1986), and Hazel v. Kulmeier (1988).

All material published in “The Pioneer Press,” including letters to the editor, shall be devoid of libel, obscenity, and/or unwarranted invasion of privacy.

Letters to the Editor are openly accepted, as long are they are not anonymous, and can be sent to 9200 U.S. State Route 42 S, Plain City, Ohio, 43064, delivered to Room 205, or submitted to “The Pioneer Press” at [email protected]. Submissions may be altered for clarity, spelling, grammer, etc. but shall not be done so in a matter so as to harmfully affect the author’s intended message.
