All seniors pose with their senior gift

JA senior night: girls tennis

Senior night for girls tennis was hosted Thursday, the 15th of September. Unfortunately their opponent (due to illness amongst the team) had canceled, but the girls had a blast playing against their own teamates. 

Renner- Lauren has been playing tennis for 4 years. Lauren’s favorite memory was from last year’s sectionals. Mr. Deeken was rolling the tennis courts to try and dry them all by himself while it was raining. Lauren plans to go to Columbus State next fall with the eventual goal of transferring to another school. 

Garman- Lindsey has played tennis for 2 years. Her favorite memory is winning her first ever match under the lights at London with Natalie. She plans on attending college next fall and is exploring what she’d like to major. 

Coppus- Makayla Coppus has been playing tennis for 4 years. Her favorite memories are every year when she plays London and beats her personal rival. She beat London with tennis alumni Ashlei, and Morgan. Makayla plans on attending college in the fall and study business. 

Liening- Morgan has played tennis for 3 years. Her favorite memory has been making new friends and having fun on the bus. She plans on attending college to study graphic design and marketing.

Yates- Hannah has played tennis for 2 years. Her favorite memory of tennis is learning a new sport and making new friends. Hannah plans to go to college and major in social work and minor in spanish. 

Krummrey- Megan has played tennis at JAHS for 2 years. Her favorite memory is playing triples after the Shawnee match. In the fall, Megan plans to go to college and major in biology

Wagner- Natalie has played tennis at JAHS for 2 years. Natalie’s favorite memories include playing doubles with her best friend, Lindsey, and have Mr. Deeken as a coach. Natalie plans on going to college to major in early childhood education.

Blackburn- Kailey has played tennis for 2 years. Kailey’s favorite tennis memory is when she attended a Halloween party dressed as Mr. Deeken. Kailey plans on attending college next fall. 

Hostetler- Hailey has been playing tennis for 1 year at JAHS. She’s enjoyed the bus rides to away matches and hanging out with the team at practices. Hailey is going to Columbus State for two years to complete her medical sonography license and get her esthetician certification.
