On Saturday, April 1, Jonathan Alder’s sophomore class hosted a Color Run at Pastime Park in effort to raise money for the class of 2019.

The run was a success as they hosted 220 runners in a 5K, which was equivalent to three times around the park. The run raised $2386 for the class of 2019.

People of the sophomore class and volunteers were standing around the path both to spray passing runners with color and to be available for instruction as to which turn of the path to take next.

As runners finished the race, they were able to select one color packet of choice that they then threw into the air to splatter everyone around with color.   The sophomore class was well prepared as water was readily available for runners as they finished the race.

“Clean up went really well and was fairly quick,” said sophomore class advisor Mrs. Russell. “Our volunteers were awesome!”

“The course got a little bit confusing, but I think that everyone enjoyed sharing the experience with their family and friends. A lot of people made new memories, and we made a lot of money, so it was a win-win,” said sophomore class president Sandy Moser.
