Alder enhances security
October 12, 2015
Jonathan Alder will soon be installing a new security system all around the high school. JAHS Principal Mike Aurin explained that the security system needed updated since technology is always changing. This new system will supply more coverage and display better quality.
Although Jonathan Alder is replacing the old cameras with new ones, there will be new locations for the cameras as well. Cameras will be installed inside and outside of the high school and will be running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Vice Principal Mark Fenik stated, “This new security system is to help make sure things are done right.”
The number of new cameras that the high school is planning to install hasn’t been determined yet, but Jonathan Alder is working with the security company to decide the best solution. Determining the number of cameras also resolves the cost of the new instalments. Fenik and Aurin explain how relatively speaking, the security system is a good price for the quality of the cameras.
The new camera system comes with HD video and night vision. This will help supply reliable information for when it is needed. These qualities will allow more safety and security for Jonathan Alder High School and its students.
