Anna Engle is very involved at Alder. She plays softball, is a member of LEO Club and NHS, is the vice president of math club, and is a co-founder of the nature club. We sat down with Anna as part of our 25 with ’25 interview series.
Q: What’s your favorite memory of your time at Alder?
A: I really liked the softball spring break trip last year.
Q: What are three things you can’t live without?
A: My Owala water bottle, my dog and sunglasses.
Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
A: I’m sort of introverted.
Q: How would you define yourself in three words?
A: Thoughtful, driven and bubbly.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: If it’s not going to affect or bother me in five years, I shouldn’t stress too much about it right now.
Q: If you made a documentary, what would it be about and why?
A: Definitely something in biology. … I’ll say dinosaurs, because I just can’t even wrap my mind around them. It feels like something from a science fiction movie.
Q: What is the last piece of content you consumed that made you cry?
A: Probably one of those hope-core TikToks.
Q: What is a song you can listen to on repeat?
A: “Watershed” by The Indigo Girls.
Q: If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?
A: Taylor Swift.
Q: What is your dream place to visit?
A: Spain.
Q: What’s the biggest surprise you’ve had?
A: I was surprised when I won first team all conference sophomore year. I wasn’t expecting it.
Q: What 3 people living or dead would you like to make dinner for?
A: Mr. Rogers, Barack Obama and Jane Austen.
Q: What was the most adventurous thing you’ve done in your life?
A: I went white water rafting.
Q: What would you like to be remembered for?
A: As someone who was kind to everybody.
