Lauren Wynk is a senior in high school. She runs cross-country and track and is a part of the LEO Club. She has applied for NHS and is waiting for an answer on if she got in or not. She plans to major in nutrition and possibly continue her running career in college.
Q: What’s your favorite memory of your time at Alder?
A: My favorite memory is Friday Night Football games. They’re always really fun to go to and dress up.
Q: What are three things you can’t live without?
A: Just my support system, like family members, friends. To be honest, probably my phone. I mean it’s just a good form of communication.
Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
A: I got injured my eighth grade year during my cross-country season and into track and I had to learn how to run again and find my passion for running.
Q: How would you define yourself in three words?
A: I’d say funny, hardworking, and caring.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: Accept where you are and the responsibility of where to take yourself where you want to go.
Q: If you made a documentary, what would it be about and why?
A: The ways that I have coped with anxiety, just in all aspects of my life. It would be about that because through high school that’s…the biggest thing I’ve discovered about myself and the thing I’ve had to work through the most.
Q: What is the last piece of content you consumed that made you cry?
A: letters from my teammates because I’m a senior, so I’m gonna miss them next year.

A: “I Love You I’m Sorry” by Gracie Abrams
Q: If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?
A: My sister because she’s in college and I would like to see how difficult [things are], and…she rows at Ohio State’s–just like the D1 team aspect of things and stuff.
Q:What is your dream place to visit?
A: Paris
Q: What’s the biggest surprise you’ve had?
A: I surprised myself on Saturday when I made it to the region for cross-country.
Q: What 3 people living or dead would you like to make dinner for?
A: Benson Boone. Gordon Ramsay. That’d be funny because he’d probably say my meal is horrible. Kristina Tosi.
Q: What was the most adventurous thing you’ve done in your life?
A: I went to a young life camp like two summers ago.
Q: What would you like to be remembered for?
A: My work ethic and just the fact that I don’t give up easily.
