Taegan Whitaker is a member of the girls basketball team as well as being a part of yearbook. She is going to Ohio University with an undecided major.
Q: What’s your favorite memory of your time at Alder?
A: Probably my senior basketball season.
Q: What are three things you can’t live without?
A: My family, my dog Ruby, and my car.
Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
A: I was born in a different state: I was born in Georgia.
Q: How would you define yourself in three words?
A: Considerate, laid-back and friendly.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: This too shall pass: I mean, I know it sounds goofy, but that’s like, literally, that’s like, I think about it, like if something sucks, I’m like, well.
Q: If you made a documentary, what would it be about and why?
A: Maybe the WNBA or Sue Bird; I really like her as a player. I’ll say Sue Bird.
Q: What is the last piece of content you consumed that made you cry?
A: I’ll say after the banquet, I went back and read some of the notes from my teammates from senior night, and they were really sweet.
Q: What is a song you can listen to on repeat?
A: “Spring Into Summer” by Lizzie McAlpine.
Q: If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?
A: Kyra said she’d switch with me, so I think I’ll switch with her, just to see what it’s like to be her.
Q: What is your dream place to visit?
A: We’re going to Italy this summer, and I’m really excited, so I’ll say that.
Q: What’s the biggest surprise you’ve had?
A: Honestly, how far we made it in tournaments this year.
Q: What 3 people living or dead would you like to make dinner for?
A: I’m not very good at cooking, so I’ll say my mom, my dad, and my brother.
Q: What was the most adventurous thing you’ve done in your life?
A: A couple years ago on vacation, I did cliff jumping with my dad.
Q: What would you like to be remembered for?
A: Just being kind to people.
