The Lady Pioneers bowling team competes in the OHSAA DII Bowling State Championships tomorrow, Saturday, February 26, at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl on South High Street in Columbus. Matches start at 10 AM.

The team is traveling today to practice on the lanes at Wayne Webb as oil patterns vary from facility to facility. Understanding and using those patterns is key to success.

Lady Pioneer bowlers include sophomores Hallie Nichols, Rachel Kaeser, and Rena Kirts; juniors Morgan Arbogast, Mackenzie Heimlich, and Trisha Fox; and senior Kaylee Griest.  Coach Rusty Walters leads the Ladies.

If you attend the match this weekend, don’t expect to hear a cheering team. According to Griest, “We teach championships not cheering.” The team believes in staying focused on the task at hand during matches.

Focus has served them well this season. Hopefully, it will help the Lady Pioneers bring home the DII State Championship this weekend.
