As the fall season approaches, the preparations for the annual fall play have officially begun. This year, the Jonathan Alder Drama Club directed by English teacher and Drama Club director Stephanie Tinberg, will be putting on The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.

When asked to give an overview of this year’s production Tinberg said, “A church holds a Christmas pageant every year, but when the typical director gets injured, a new director must take their place to direct the pageant. In this year’s pageant, however, a wild group of kids decide to join and cause trouble. The end is very heartwarming.” She also describes it as “family-oriented without being too childish.”

Tryouts for this year’s fall play are being held on Wednesday, September 14 and Thursday, September 15. Tinberg predicts a bigger cast this year and chose this play to involve more of the student body. She also thinks that the Christmas theme of the production will spark some holiday cheer.

The Alder community can see The Best Christmas Pageant Ever come to life on November 18 and November 19 at 7:00 pm, and November 20 at 1:00 pm. There will also be an in-school performance for students on November 21 to see the hard work their peers have invested into this year’s drama production.
