Seniors invited to decorate parking spots

Megan Gordin, Editor-in-Chief

On Saturday, September 23 from 9am to 1pm, along with Sunday, September 24 from 12pm to 4pm, seniors who have purchased a spot in the senior lot have the option to paint their designated parking spot.

For a fee of $10, students can paint their spots with a pre-approved design that is school appropriate. Students can create any design, although it is recommended to choose something simple, as time to paint is limited.

Students are required to bring their own supplies, including paint and brushes. The only paint that can be used on the spots is water based exterior latex paint, which can be found at paint and hardware stores.

Spots can only be painted during the designated times, and students must account for time to dry in between coats.

Senior Karley Kidd said, “I think it’s a cool idea. I like that people can be creative.”

The Pioneer Press is excited to see the creative sides of Alder’s seniors displayed in their parking spots.
