The Clark Babies

Recently, Jonathan Alder High School has had lots of new additions–but not in students. Three Alder teachers this year have either become parents or are soon expecting.

Mr. Darren Clark and his wife had three girls at the end of last year, Mrs. Leslie Russell just had a daughter before school started, and Mrs. Jennifer Calland has a boy due November 11.

The Pioneer Press asked them some questions to clarify some information and find out what they’re most excited for. Of course, they are all very excited for when their babies grow up. Mrs. Russell is most excited about “getting to know more of her personality” and “taking her to new places, like the zoo.” Mrs. Calland is most excited to raise a good person who can contribute to society. Mr. Clark, while ultimately excited, admits he’s terrified of what the future may bring.

They can all agree that so far being a parent has been the most emotional experience of their lives, and it has brought them a level of joy and love they didn’t know was possible.

As of now, Mr. Clark wants his kids to attend Jonathan Alder though Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Calland are unsure.
