Looking for their fourth straight county match win, the Boys Golf team hosted the Madison Country Championship on Wednesday at Buck Ridge.

Jonathan Alder competed against county opponents London, Madison Plains, West Jeff, and Shekinah Christian.

Despite the after effects of Hurricane Irma, the team was still able to compete at a high level at their home course.

Sophomore Hayden Mitchell won the match on Wednesday, shooting a 38 (+2). Not far behind, sophomore Mychal McKelvey shot a 39 (+3). Both First Teamed the county.

Accompanying the two, sophomore Tyler Hilbert and senior Joey Petrella both shot a 40 (+4), both making the Country First Team as well.

Senior Zach Otto earned a 2nd Team honor and sophomore Liam Thompson earned an Honorable Mention.

The team walked away winning the Madison County Championship for the 4th straight year.

The Boys team patiently awaits the CBC Conference and Union County Championship matches in the next week.
