This month, the Jonathan Alder LEO Club is holding a necessities drive for the Huckleberry House. The Huck House is a crisis center for the youth of Columbus and central Ohio, helping with issues like abuse, neglect, violence and homelessness. They see no problem as too big, and offer proven programs and dedicated staff to help those that need it. Huckleberry House’s goal is to help these youth escape the circumstances of their struggle and move on to bigger and better things.

For the next couple weeks, there will be red boxes in each English classroom to put donations in for this cause. The LEO Club is asking for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair brushes, hair ties, scarves, and gloves. Do your part to help those that need it in central Ohio.

“I think that it’s important high school students understand the significance of the lives surrounding them and that they can make a difference with the smallest actions,” says LEO Club President Olivia Moore. Bring in your items as soon as possible!
