Burritos for change: DNA invites Alder community to Chipotle

Megan Gordin, Editor-in-Chief

On Monday, November 20, the DNA Community Center in Plain City will be holding a fundraiser at Chipotle on Perimeter Loop from 4pm to 8pm.

By simply mentioning the DNA fundraiser while ordering, the center receives 50% of the proceeds. However, orders must be placed in the store, as online orders are not eligible for the fundraiser.

The proceeds will directly benefit both the L.I.F.T. Mentor Program, where students are given a mentor to meet with for encouragement and growth, and L.I.F.T. Learning Program, which helps students in fifth to eighth grade receive help with their schoolwork in a positive environment. DNA’s executive director Tamara Reed recognized the struggles that some children face in our community and wanted to help these students. DNA’s goal is to “walk alongside [students] in the context of relationship to provide the encouragement and support they need to navigate challenges and reach their potential,” said Reed.

Come out and enjoy a burrito for a good cause!
