French club throws Mardi Gras hoorah

On Friday, February 2, French Club had its monthly meeting during which they celebrated Mardi Gras. The name translates to “Fat Tuesday,” and its actual calendar date is February 13.

French teacher Mr. John Glatz’s classroom was packed with club members who enjoyed cake and Mardi Gras themed music. All of the festivities were planned by the French Club officers.

The main event at the meeting was the mask-making competition. Club members all received a blank mask and an array of decorations to make it their own.

Sophomore Donna Seminishin took first place and won a $15 Fandango gift card.

French Club’s next meeting will take place on Friday, March 2.
