Leo Club Highlights DNA Needs in Clothing Drive

Victoria Temple, Staff Writer

The Leo Club is holding a Sock and Underwear Drive in collaboration with the Daily Needs Assistance (DNA), an organization which runs the food pantry, after school tutoring programs, and a plethora of other things to help the community be the best it can be.

“We talk with DNA periodically to see what they need,” Kathy Marshall, World History teacher and Leo Club director told me. “…Socks and underwear is something that the people in the community really need.”

Specifically, they need new, still packaged, socks and underwear.

At first, Leo Club was planning on having benevolent students donate hats and gloves. However, DNA had another idea, explaining that they have a greater need right now for socks and underwear. Marshall said, “Although I’m sure that if you wanted to donate hats and gloves they would be accepted.”

You can drop off your donations to any Social Studies classroom, or take them to the library where there will be a box for donations.

The drive ends on November ninth.
