Q&A with Ava Wehner

Sophomore Ava Wehner shares an insight into her life by answering questions regarding academic life, sports, hobbies, and more!

 

Q: What extracurricular activities do you participate in?

A: Rowing. Last weekend in Boston, I competed in the Head of the Charles, which is the biggest two-day regatta in the world. I rowed in a four.

 

Q: Do you have any pets?

A: Yeah, I have a dog and two cats.

 

Q: What is something you’ve done that you’re proud of?

A: I guess moving up in rowing and school. I advanced to varsity early and I take more advanced classes.

 

Q: What is your best high school memory so far?

A: Probably homecoming

 

Q: What is one thing you would like to accomplish in your lifetime?

 A: I want to row in college and graduate [college.]

 

Q: What is your current favorite song?

A: “24/7/365” by Surfaces.

 

Q: Chocolate or vanilla?
A: Oh that just depends– with ice cream, it’s vanilla. With cake, it’s both… but mostly chocolate.

 

Q: Who has influenced you in your life the most?

A: I’m gonna say my coach from last winter because she’s very inspiring and knowledgeable, and paid a lot of attention to detail.

 

Q: Would you rather stick your foot in a bowl of cooked spaghetti noodles or inside a bowl of sauce?

A: Noodles for sure. Then you won’t have to wipe off the sauce.

Q: What would you like to improve within your school/ community?
A: The attitude, like more inclusive. There’s a stigma against a lot of people that shouldn’t be there.
