Call for Submissions: Art & Poetry from the Class of 2020
April 9, 2020
Class of 2020– We’re looking for poetry and art that reflects your high school experience to incorporate into the senior issue of The Pioneer Press.
This could be poetry/art that talks about your experience related to academics, music, athletics, clubs, hanging out with friends, being tracked by your parents on Life 360, ending being stuck in quarantine…one aspect or many aspects, from one year to the whole experience, we just want to include as much of the senior class as possible and as much of your high school experience as possible into this issue.
If you have something you’d like to submit (or want to make something right now), please follow these guidelines:
ART
- Must be an original piece of art by the person submitting the work
- Should be submitted in a .jpg file (photographed or scanned if necessary)
- In the email with your submission, include the medium(s) used
- Include title of piece, if applicable
Poetry
- Must be an original piece of writing by the person submitting the work
- Should have a title
- Should be submitted with line breaks and formatting as you would like it printed
- Submission should be in a google doc or .docx document.
ALL submissions should be emailed to [email protected] with the subject line “Art/Poetry Submission: Class of 2020.” The image/document should be attached to the email, along with information about the title/medium of the piece as described above.
If you would like to collaborate with someone and create art/poetry that is paired together (or you would like to do a pairing yourself), that’s fine! Please submit any work that should be paired together in the same email, indicating credit for each piece in the body of the email.
All submissions will be due by Friday, April 24th. Any questions can be directed to Ms. Dincher at [email protected].
