It’s Valentine’s day and love is in the air and what better thing to do than watch a romantic movie for the holiday. Instead of scrolling through for hours on a streaming service to find the perfect Valentine’s day movie, here is a list of heartwarming films to watch on this romantic day.

Valentine’s Day

The 2010 rom-com follows the many stories of the various Los Angeles residents who experience the worst and the best of the romantic day. As the holiday unfolds they experience first dates, youthful crushes, and forever connections. Starring many popular actors such as Jennifer Garner, Ashton Kutcher, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts, Taylor Swift and more. You can find the movie on HBO Max, Youtube, and Amazon Prime. 

To All the Boys I Loved Before

The Netflix Original follows Lara Jean (Lana Condor), a young highschool student whose secret, love-baring  letters get sent out to her five crushes. These seemingly innocent letters cause a mass havoc into Jean’s life for the worse and the better. Lara Jean’s love story doesn’t end there with that one movie but it soon follows with two others “To All the Boys: P.S I Still Love You” and “To All the Boys: Always and Forever”

The Princess Diaries 

Awkward and shy teenager Mia Thermopolis’ (Anne Hathaway) world changes upside down when there is surprising news that she is the princess of a small European principality of Genovia. Mia begins a comical journey toward the throne when her strict grandmother, Queen Clarisse Renaldi (Julie Andrews), shows up to give her “princess lessons.” To watch Mia’s crazy adventure you can find the film on Disney+, Apple TV, and Youtube. 

 

Pride and Prejudice

  The adaption to Jane Austen’s romantic novel follows Elizabeth Bennet (Kierra Knightley) who lives with her beloved father, mother, and four other sisters in the English countryside. As one of the eldest, she faces numerous pressures in getting married. When the forthright Elizabeth becomes acquainted with a wealthy proud gentleman named Mr.Darcy (Matthew MacFadyen) sparks fly in between the two. Even though there are sparks, it’s hard for the both of them to face the truth. To watch the famous love story between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, you can find the movie on HBO Max, Hulu, and Apple TV.

The 2018 romantic comedy drama follows a 17-year-old boy named Simon Spier (Nick Robinson) whose love story is a little bit more complicated. He hasn’t told anyone, not his closest friends and family of his deepest secret: that he’s gay. When he finds his secret at risk, Simon must face everyone to come to terms with his identity.
