If you have the popular social media app Tiktok, then you’ve probably heard of the feud between Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend, singer and actress Selena Gomez, and his wife Hailey Bieber, previously Hailey Baldwin. However this feud isn’t really between the two, it’s between their fans. Fans have scrutinized every move of Gomez and H. Bieber, causing people to conflict what side to be on.

Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber say they weren’t making fun of Gomez’s eyebrows

In February of last month, Gomez posted a Tiktok where she claimed she laminated her eyebrows a little too much, which is a trendy makeup technique used to make your eyebrows look more fluffy and full. After Gomez’s post, Kylie Jenner posted a picture of H. Bieber on a facetime call on her Instagram story. E News says, “Kylie Jenner posted a selfie on Instagram Stories, writing, ‘this was an accident???’ over her brows. Additionally, Kylie also posted a screenshot of her and her friend Hailey Bieber seemingly on FaceTime—with the shot being a close up of their brows. Needless to say, social media users theorized Kylie’s posts were a direct jab at Selena.”

Jenner has denied the allegations and Gomez herself confirmed that the two are actually on good terms. La times says, “a TikTok user speculated that Kylie Jenner had thrown shade at Gomez, the youngest Kardashian-Jenner (allegedly) wrote, ‘this is reaching. no shade towards selena ever and i didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.’ Gomez commented back (allegedly), ‘Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!’”

Since this started, Gomez has gained about 10 million instagram followers and dethroned Jenner as Instagram’s most followed woman, as Jenner at the same time has lost around half a million followers.

Fans accuse Hailey Bieber of shading Gomez again

After the eyebrow feud, H. Bieber reposted an Instagram story of her skin care brand, Rhode Skin, with the music attachment “Calm Down” by Rema.

As fans know, Gomez features on a remix of this song. H. Bieber reposted the picture with the original song without the feature, causing people to question whether or not this was just an innocent post or another stab at Gomez. Newsweek says, “The song playing over the video—which would have been added by the business in the original post—was “Calm Down” by Rema.

This would have not been an issue, but Gomez’s fans noticed it was the original version of the song, and not the remix she featured on.” However, it’s questionable because it was a repost, meaning H. Bieber did not choose the song.

Gomez takes break from tiktok

In late February, drama continued and Gomez responded to another TikTok about H. Bieber being a mean girl to her alleged best friend Taylor Swift.

Elle says, “Gomez’s TikTok activity got the attention of celebrity news fan account PopFaction, which first noted that Gomez defended her longtime friend Taylor Swift in a TikTok showing old footage of Hailey sticking her tongue out when Swift’s album was mentioned. ‘So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game,’ Gomez commented.” While people quickly reviewed her comments, Gomez then announced her break from TikTok entirely.

In an explanation of Gomez’ decision, Vulture says, “Gomez goes live on TikTok. She assures fans that she’s happy I’m big, I’m not, I don’t care. I love who I am, but says that she will be stepping away from social media. The 30-year-old explains that she is ‘too old’ for all this drama. She then deactivates her TikTok, but the move is temporary — as of publication time, her account has been restored.”

The Latest Update

Sunday of March 12th, J. Bieber has posted a picture supporting his wife captioning it, “LUV U BABY.”

Some responded well, commenting “Although im team SG, everyone needs to live and let live! They’re a married couple. Let them be.” However, most comments seem to be negative backlash, one,@brietrusty, commenting “were you forced” and another, @jonicaa.smith, writing, “tell hailey to give your phone back.”
