23 with ’23: Justin Moran
Justin Moran is a senior at Jonathan Alder High school. He is a member of the construction program at Tolles and will be joining the military upon graduation. We interviewed Justin as part of our 23 with ‘23 series to spotlight 23 different members of the class of 2023.
Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
A: I would do anything for my friends
Q: What’s your wakeup ritual?
A: I wake up, check my phone, and then get on my day.
Q: What’s your go to bed ritual?
A: Watch TikTok, and then listen to music, and then fall asleep.
Q: What’s your favorite time of day and why?
A: Either 6:00 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.
Q: If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?
A: Dale Earnheardt Jr.
Q: Dream country to visit?
A: Australia
Q: What’s the biggest surprise you’ve had?
A: When a guy at my school died in a car wreck.
Q: If your life was a TV show, what song would be in the intro?
A: “Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Q: What are three things you can’t live without?
A: Truck, friends, sweet tea.
Q: What 3 people living or dead would you like to make dinner for?
A: My mom, my grandma, and Donald Trump.
Q: Window or aisle seat?
A: Window. I ain’t touching anybody; so I got a clear view of the sky and clouds.
Q: Secret talent?
A: I could be very tired, like I have no energy, and then I can click it on with a switch and have so much energy that I could kill a bull. I can just do that.
Q: Most adventurous thing you’ve done in your life?
A: Hiking up the Smoky Mountains.
Q: How would you define yourself in three words?
A: Loyal, caring, kind. I’m actually a kind person, I just have a calloused heart.
Q: What’s inspiring you in life right now and why?
A: The motivation of getting stuff that I want, earning it by working for it and becoming the best military guy I can be.
Q: Best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: Stop worrying about what you can’t control. You can only control how you react to it, and how you can deal with the situation. And that will truly determine what a man or a woman you are, because you can’t really control what other people do. You can only control yourself.
Q: What would you like to be remembered for?
A: Being the guy that always makes everybody happy, even when they’re down. I will always talk to them, bring them up and make them laugh
Q: Best thing to happen to you today?
A: Mike DeWine came to our school.
Q: Worst thing to happen to you today?
A: My ex-girlfriend saying “I miss you.”
Q: If you made a documentary, what would it be about and why?
A: Me and my friend group, dude, if you put a camera on me and my friend group there is gonna be tons of fun. And you don’t know, you might get offended or anything in that friend group, but you always have a good time. We drive 1500 pounds of big muscle in our trucks and we whip her around like a race car listening to white girl music.
Q: Last piece of content you consumed that made you cry?
A: The song “Already There” by Lone Star.

A: 8
