While some fall sports have ended, soccer is still going strong in their season. Although they have struggled with some minor difficulties, they’re still pushing through.
Senior goalie Seth Dickman says, “We’ve had some people get injured and have to miss a couple games.”
However, even with these original hardships, they’re not going to let it bring themselves down. Some players still are hoping it’ll turn out for the best.
Senior striker Connor Boggs says “I anticipate the [rest of the] season continuing out pretty well, and not losing many or or any games at all.”
One of the reasons they are hopeful is because they flow together well off field in addition to during games.
“It’s just been a positive environment,” says Dickman, “not as much negative talk as maybe there was in the past years.”
According to Boggs, they also are playing well in the conference.
“I would say… working as a team has been really good, and we’ve not lost any CBC games.”
So far in the CBC, the team’s conference record is 7-0-2. Things are looking promising for the team to win the CBC overall, as the next team behind Alder is Tecumseh with a 6-1-2 conference record.
“I anticipate [soccer] going well,” says Dickman. “we only have a couple conference games left, some of them are harder games I guess, but I think we have a pretty good strive.”
