Cameron is a member of the treble choir and JA bowling team. They currently plan on going to college to study environmental science or biology. We sat down with them as part of our 25 with ’25 interview series.
Q: What’s your favorite memory of your time at Alder?
A: My junior year when I started hanging out with more of my friends. We got a lot closer and then they graduated.
Q: What are three things you can’t live without?
A: Music, my friends, and caffeine.
Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
A: I really want to have a lot of piercings, but I only have my lobes. I want to have lip piercings, nose piercings, maybe even eyebrow if I can.
Q: How would you define yourself in three words?
A: Thoughtful, generous, and patient.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: The best way to find happiness is to stop looking so hard.
Q: If you made a documentary, what would it be about and why?
A: The history of vampires in literature and media. I’m reading a book about it right now and I like history and I like spooky stuff, so it makes sense.
Q: What is the last piece of content you consumed that made you cry?
A: I watched Edward Scissorhands. I watch it like every winter because it’s my favorite Christmas movie. I don’t care if you don’t say it’s not a Christmas movie. It is.
Q: What is a song you can listen to on repeat?
A: “I Don’t Care If You’re Contagious” by Pierce The Veil.
Q: If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?
A: A puppeteer for Sesame Street. I want to have a fun job.
Q: What is your dream place to visit?
A: Edinburgh, Scotland.
Q: What’s the biggest surprise you’ve had?
A: My parents took all of us [my siblings and I] to Disney when I was 13.
Q: What 3 people living or dead would you like to make dinner for?
A: Vic Fuentes, Gerard Way, and Jim Henson.
Q: What was the most adventurous thing you’ve done in your life?
A: I hiked with my aunt and uncle on the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Q: What would you like to be remembered for?
A: Being myself, even when people wanted me to be different. I’ve learned to look how I want instead of how others want me to look, and I think that’s an important lesson.
