Jonathan Alder’s Boys Basketball

The Jonathan Alder boys varsity basketball team have been dominating the league so far this season. Their record for the regular season ended at 18-7. The boys have had highlights during the season ranging from last minute games to making a buzzer beater to win by 3 points.

In the February 5th game versus St. Francis De Sales, the match was very tight up into the 4th period. With the score at 41-41 and the second seed in the tournament on the line, sophomore Jackson Izzard made the game winning shot from half court. Jackson had 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists leading up to this moment. “I was completely shocked that it went in,“ Jackson said The team was thrilled as they all rushed the court to celebrate with Jackson.

Jonathan Alder also won against Fairbanks and London, teams who have very few losses this season. The team is currently the fourth seed in their conference.

Jonathan Alder’s won their game this past Thursday, February 25th against Licking Valley that took place at Jonathan Alder high school.Their is scheduled for Friday, March 1st at Springfield Shawnee.
