Walt Disney Pictures has released a second trailer for their upcoming movie,
Aladdin.

The new live action adaptation is set to be released on May 24th, 2019–a few months before its 27th anniversary.

Walt Disney Pictures said in a statement to USA TODAY, “We have one of the most anticipated films of the year and are confident that audiences will fall in love with the Genie and all of the characters when it hits the big screen in May.”

The film is directed by Guy Ritchie–who is known for movies such as Sherlock Holmes (2009) and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017). Mena Massoud will star as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, and Will Smith as the Genie.

The trailer show promise of an exceptional movie full of bright colors.

The filming was done in Surrey, England and in the Wadi Rum Desert in Jordan.

Many people are excited for the adaptation of a childhood classic.
