Lexie Keaton, Senior Class President, shares with us who she is as a person and the impact she hopes to make on Jonathan Alder this year.

Q: What are your goals as class president?

A: I just really wanna have a fun senior year, and make sure everyone is super involved and passionate about about our school.

Q: What do you enjoy most about being Class President?

A: I think it’s fun to be a role model to lowerclassmen

Q: What person has influenced you the most? Why?

A: I admire my mom. She’s a lot like me, very passionate about what she does and very hard working. I strive to be like her.

Q: How do you believe you can get students involved in issues around the school?

A: I think that getting people involved is very important, but sometimes can be very hard.  It’s important to hold events that the majority of people are interested in. I’m also the NHS president and I’m planning some fun events that I hope everyone will participate in.

Q: What do you think you can do to improve shortcomings in your school/community?

A: I think it’s always good to have a strong connection with the people you’re working with, that way they’ll listen to what you have to say and help put it in place.

Q: Would you rather stick your foot in a bowl of cooked spaghetti or bathe in marinara sauce?

A: Stick my foot in raw spaghetti. Bathing in marinara sauce–that’s gross.

Q: Chocolate or vanilla?

A: Chocolate.

Q: What’s the last song you listened to or movie you watched?

A: The Scientist by Coldplay

Q: Do you have plans to go into politics or have a carer relating to politics after highschool?

A: I do not have any plans to go into a career relating to politics.  I want to major in Early Childhood Education.

Q: What really motivates you to work hard?

A: My parents have always encouraged me to do my best at everything throughout my whole life, so I think naturally I’m just a motivated person.  Once I start something I’m always determined to finish it.
