23 with ’23: Ashlyn Farmwald
Ashlyn Farmwald is a Senior at JA this year and in her free time participates in French Club and LEO Club. We sat down with Ashlyn Farmwald as part of our 23 with ‘23 series to spotlight 23 different members of the class of 2023.
Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
A: I’m a blackbelt in Taekwondo.
Q: What’s your wakeup ritual?
A: I wake up, turn off my, like 80 alarms; I let my dog out, brush my teeth, decide what I want to do for the day.
Q: What’s your go to bed ritual?
A: A little similar- I let my dog out again, lock up all the house doors and windows, brush my teeth, usually watch a show or a movie or something before I go to bed.
Q: What’s your favorite time of day?
A: 8:30 p.m.
Q: If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?
A: My cat.
Q: Dream country to visit?
A: Brazil.
Q: What’s the biggest surprise you’ve had?
A: My parents surprised us with the Disney vacation.
Q: If your life was a TV show, what song would be in the intro?
A: “Go Big or Go Home” by the American Authors
Q: What are three things you can’t live without?
A: My friends, family, and my books
Q: What 3 people living or dead would you like to make dinner for?
A: My grandma on my mom’s side and then my great grandparents on my dad’s side.
Q: Window or aisle seat?
A: Window.
Q: Secret talent?
A: I’m really good at frosting cupcakes.
Q: Most adventurous thing you’ve done in your life?
A: I once went up in a giant helium balloon.
Q: How would you define yourself in three words?
A: Meticulous, nurturing, and direct.
Q: What’s inspiring you in life right now?
A: Right now, probably my friends I think, the most.
Q: Best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: When someone shows you their true colors, believe them.
Q: What would you like to be remembered for?
A: I would want to be remembered for helping others when they need it.
Q: Best thing to happen to you today?
A: I remembered to bring a water bottle to school.
Q: Worst thing to happen to you today?
A: I spilled apple sauce all over myself.
Q: If you made a documentary, what would it be about?
A; Sloths.
Q: Last piece of content you consumed that made you cry?
A: I watched a movie a couple weeks ago. I think it was “Clouds,” I think was the one.
Q: Song you can listen to on repeat?
A: “Ugly heart” by GRL
Q: On a scale of 1-10, how excited are you about life right now?
A: Six and a half or seven.
Maggie is a senior at JAHS and this is her second year as a journalist. She is a Varsity cheerleader and participates in Quick Recall, French club, Drama...
