Cara Smith is apart of the Jonathan Alder cheer team. She is committed to Bowling Green State University for academics and cheer, and is currently undecided on a major.
Q: What’s your favorite memory of your time at Alder?
A: Honestly, I would just say being with friends while I can.
Q: What are three things you can’t live without?
A: Cheer, my phone, and I would say my car too.
Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
A: I’m a very sensitive person when it comes to certain topics. And I feel like some people see me as this introverted person, but if you really get to know me I’m very outgoing. I like to have fun.
Q: How would you define yourself in three words?
A: Independent, very giving towards people, and I would say courageous.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: I would say, I always get this and I always kind of pass it on to people, especially younger incoming freshman. But I would always say take the easier classes first and then continue on if you want to do harder things, but don’t take unnecessary stuff.
Q: If you made a documentary, what would it be about and why?
A: Definitely cheer, because I feel like my whole life revolves around cheer. Ever since the comp season ended, I just feel like I haven’t really been able to be in a routine.
Q: What is the last piece of content you consumed that made you cry?
A: For the seniors, it wasn’t really a piece of content, but just like the end of season stuff. We all sat in a circle after we competed and we all kinda like cried together. So I wouldn’t say it was like a video or anything, but our coaches were talking to us and we all cried together. It was very emotional.
Q: What is a song you can listen to on repeat?
A: I would say “iloveitiloveitiloveit” by Bella Kay. I can listen to that on repeat.
Q: If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?
A: I’ll just say my favorite YouTuber, Markiplier.
Q: What is your dream place to visit?
A: Fiji.
Q: What’s the biggest surprise you’ve had?
A: Winning states back to back.
Q: What 3 people living or dead would you like to make dinner for?
A: Michael Jackson, Markiplier again, and Gabi Butler.
Q: What was the most adventurous thing you’ve done in your life?
A: I would say exploring an abandoned house because I literally did that yesterday.
Q: What would you like to be remembered for?
A: Being an influence on the cheerleading program. I don’t really go to school so I would say being the person people can go to.
