Ayoub, McDaniel qualify for Regionals

Disappointment is a tough part of sports, and for many on the Cross Country team, it came too soon. Throughout the program people believed freshmen Luke Malone and Gavin Frick would advance to Regionals. The young high school boys team had a small bit of hope heading into Districts that they could qualify for Regionals. Yet, only two runners from the program were able to move on to the Regional meet in Pickerington next week on October 29th.

Senior Aziza Ayoub and sophomore Ashlyn McDaniel each ran tremendously well in what many believed were tough conditions. Ayoub ran a season best 19:09, placing 6th in a very tough Central District. McDaniel ran a 20:43 and placed 19th.

Following the race, Head Coach Justin Creps addressed the fact that the high school boys team is a young group of talented runners, and with patience the team could be a dangerous threat moving forward. The team placed 7th out of 10 teams in the Districts second section.
