Students of Jonathan Alder High School may have noticed that Kona Ice has been appearing in our cafeteria once every month. If you remember, this isn’t the first time Kona Ice has visited Jonathan Alder.

    They’ve made appearances in the past for other events and as rewards for students. Not only that, but they showed up during Freshman Orientation this year and gave all freshmen there free Kona Ice. This is what kickstarted the monthly appearances.

    Student Council adviser Leslie Russell helped bring Kona Ice to JA, so we asked her a few questions about these events. She informed us that in exchange for the free Kona Ice at the start of the year, Alder would allow Kona Ice to come in once a month during lunch. “We make a portion of the profits from all sales. It’s great because there is no chance of losing money,” said Mrs. Russell.

    So if you’d like to support the school, get some Kona Ice next time they come to JAHS!
