NHS hosts school-wide food drive

The National Honor Society is holding a food drive to benefit the Plain City Food Pantry now through Friday, December 8. NHS is asking for non-perishable canned and boxed foods to help local families before Christmas.

One principle that the National Honor Society program finds important is service, so the group holds different service projects during the school year to benefit the Alder community. NHS also held a book drive earlier in the school year, and they are currently in the process of hosting a blood drive.

Senior NHS member Madison McMillen said, “Many people get excited about receiving Christmas presents, but they don’t realize that people in our community have trouble putting food on the table.” She encourages everyone to donate if they are able.

Donation boxes can be found in every classroom, and the winning 4th period class will receive a donut party during 4th period. Donate!
