The outbreak of sudden blindness to students and staff at Jonathan Alder High School began Monday, February 25, 2019.

Multiple students reported poor visibility upon seeing members of the Jonathan Alder High School baseball team with bleached hair. Dawson Detweiler, Nate Smith, and Jacob Fenik bleached their hair for comical reasons.

For some, the effects were greater than others, “I was blinded by the light,” said Manfred Mann, “revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night.”

Others were miraculously unaffected and found humor in this ironically dark time.

Senior Sydney Winslow said, “[Senior member of the baseball team]Nate Smith looks like a mop!” Other members of the team were compared to that of Donald Trump.
