Q: What’s your favorite memory of your time at Alder?
A: Winning first in sectionals was just such a rewarding event for me. Sophomore year I was literally the worst wrestler, but just showing up every day and being motivated by my teammates and coaches helped me become better. I think the process of having my teammates there with me in the same situation and supporting me is what I loved most about girls wrestling at Alder.
Q: What are three things you can’t live without?
A: My family, my phone and my friends.
Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
A: This is kind of random, but I prefer chocolates over gummy candy.
Q: How would you define yourself in three words?
A: Hardworking, honest and courageous.
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: When your mind knows you will not quit, your body will adapt.
Q: If you made a documentary, what would it be about and why?
A: I’d probably make it about the time when I had self doubt in myself and low confidence in who I was, but as I became a better wrestler it changed my personality and overall my confidence in my thoughts and actions.
Q: What’s the last piece of content you consumed that made you cry?
A: I watched a true crime documentary called “The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez,” and it made me cry.
Q: What’s a song you can listen to on repeat?
A: “Stereo Love” by Edward Maya.
Q: If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?
A: Someone really rich, like Elon Musk.
Q: What’s your dream place to visit?
A: Thailand.
Q: What’s the biggest surprise you’ve had?
A: My parents got a second cat for us and she was home when I got home from school.
Q: What three people, living or dead, would you like to make dinner for?
A: You would not want me to cook for anyone, but if I was a good cook and had to choose, it would probably be my parents, and maybe like Marilyn Monroe.
Q: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve done in your life?
A: I don’t really know. I like to hike sometimes but other than that my family likes to travel to other states like Florida or Maryland often. I’ve also been outside of the US.
Q: What would you like to be remembered for?
A: How dedicated I am to what I love.
