Lexie Beasley is in cross country, track and field, as well as the symphonic choir and the Harmoneers. She is also in the musical this year as George, the best man, which opens today. She works as a lifeguard and goes to the Buckeye Pole Vault Academy. Next year, she plans to major in nursing.

Q: What’s your favorite memory of your time at Alder?

A: Honestly, my favorite memory is building a family with the cross country team. Like we all got really close and it’s just been so fun.

Q: What are three things you can’t live without?

A: Probably my phone, which is bad. My bed. I love my bed. And I guess my car. I drive a lot.

Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you?

A: I guess that I pole vault. I feel like it’s a weird sport that most people don’t know about, but it’s still part of like track and field.

Q: How would you define yourself in three words?

A: Hopefully I’m smart.  I would say athletic and kind.

Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?

A: Just to enjoy the moment. Cause it goes by faster than you think, which is what everyone says, but it’s true.

Q: If you made a documentary, what would it be about and why?

A:  Honestly, I feel like a day in a life would be interesting because I do so many things in one day. Yeah. I’m very busy. 

Q: What is the last piece of content you consumed that made you cry?

A: Honestly, it was probably like a sad Instagram, like a reel. I don’t even know.

Q: What is a song you can listen to on repeat?

A: “I Love You, I’m Sorry” by Gracie Abrams.

Q: If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?

A:  I would say someone who is a nurse already so I could see what their normal day is, if that makes sense. See what it’s like.

Q: What is your dream place to visit?

A:  I really want to go to Hawaii. It’s so pretty there. I want to explore and hike up everywhere, all the mountains and stuff.

Q: What’s the biggest surprise you’ve had?

A:  The role in musical. I’ve been in ensemble all these years and I finally got one. And it’s a boy so I’m trying to figure that out.  Like having to act as the opposite gender. It’s weird, but I don’t know. There’s definitely a better answer, but I can’t think of one.

Q: What 3 people living or dead would you like to make dinner for?

A: I think Jesus would be fun to have a conversation with. Maybe artists that are very popular, like Taylor Swift. I feel like it’d be interesting to hear from her perspective. And then maybe my grandma. Jesus, Taylor Swift, my Grandma.

Q: What was the most adventurous thing you’ve done in your life?

A: I’ve liked. Around Lake Tahoe this year, so it was really fun. And it was also snowy, so slippery.

Q: What would you like to be remembered for?

A: Just always having a positive attitude and impact on everyone. Just always being happy for them.
